A 75-year-old Japanese man has been acting in adult videos for 15 years without telling his family. He must now decide whether to divulge his secret before he dies.
Chihiro Amemiya - Director, Director of Photography, Editor
Chihiro Amemiya is currently pursuing her MFA in Media Arts Production at The City College of New York. She received the Bert Saperstein Scholarship from The City College of New York for Grandpa's Erection. Her short, Match Clinic, was screened at the City University Film Festival, Gate City Women's Film Festival, and Short Attention Span Digital Video Festival 2009. Prior to coming to New York, Chihiro shot and edited non-profit documentary projects in Chicago.

Robert La Rocca - Editor
Robert La Rocca was an Assistant Editor on the feature documentary Sync or Swim, which screened at Slamdance, Silverdocs, and MOMA’S Documentary Fortnight. He is currently directing a short documentary about a Native American AIDS activist.
Katsumi Funahashi - Editor
Over the past 10 years, Katsumi Funahashi has edited numerous documentaries and educational films for Pacific Street Films, including Beyond Wiseguys: Italian Americans & The Movies, which screened at the Big Apple Film Festival in 2008.
Growing up in Japan, I somehow came to think that I should not express what is unique about me as an individual. Ishii’s story is about a man who gradually liberates himself from such unspoken rules. Is there something about life in Japan that discourages individuality and its expression?
