Cheryl Dunye - Director, Producer, Screenwriter
Cheryl Dunye’s debut film The Watermelon Woman was awarded the Teddy Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival. Her second feature, Stranger Inside (HBO) garnered an Independent Spirit award nomination for Best Director, and her third feature, My Baby’s Daddy (Miramax) was a box office success. She recently completed production on her latest feature, The OWLs (Older Wiser Lesbians). Dunye has served on the boards of Outfest, the DGA, and the IFP.

Sarah Schulman - Screenwriter
The author of 14 books, Sarah Schulman has received numerous awards including a Guggenheim (playwriting), and a Fulbright (Judaic studies). She co-wrote the screenplay for Cheryl Dunye’s film The OWLs, which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival.
Adventures in the 419 is a film project based on my life in Amsterdam from 2004-2007. This was the first time in my life where I was treated, on a daily basis, as an outsider. This project incorporates these influences and my changed outlook on the world politically, technologically, and personally.
