Nisha Ganatra’s feature credits include Chutney Popcorn (Berlin, Paris and Madrid International Film Festivals, Newport Film Festival, Outfest Los Angeles and San Francisco Gay and Lesbian film festivals), Cosmopolitan (South by Southwest), and Cake (starring Heather Graham, Sandra Oh, Taye Diggs, Cheryl Hines). Her work for television includes The Real World New York and Road Rules/Real World Challenge. She is currently writing and directing a film for ITVS/PBS series Futurestates.

Raga Beats explores the moment where the child of an immigrant parent must decide to pursue their own path and risk “losing their culture.” This film celebrates the power of family, of culture, and of the gift of creating our own identity and making our own traditions.
