How do I know if my project has a “qualified director or screenwriter” attached?
Tribeca All Access promotes the careers and work of those who are traditionally underrepresented in mainstream media. Over the last decade, industry reports have consistently shown a lack of diversity in writing and directing for film and television. Tribeca All Access seeks to address this void through connections and introductions that may lead to future collaborations. Since the programs inception, Tribeca All Access has curated a slate of scripts and documentary works-in-progress that have been extremely diverse in terms of genre, style, theme, and budget range. All of the selected projects have also had at least one director and/or screenwriter attached who identified him or herself as African American, Asian American, Latino, Pacific Islander, Arab American or Native American and women of all races. Applicants should contact the Tribeca All Access program if there are any additional questions on eligibility. Email:allaccess@tribecafilminstitute.org; phone: 212-274-8080 ext.27
Is Tribeca All Access open to filmmakers from around the world?
Applicants must be current residents of the United States or Puerto Rico but do not need to be US citizens. However, TAA builds relationships with filmmakers from selected international organizations (Canadian Film Centre (CFC) and the UK Film Council), who bring participants from their respective countries to take part in the program. Filmmakers coming to the program through an international organization will be selected by the designated organization with the help of TAA. For more information email allaccess@tribecafilminstitute.org.
When do I need to be in attendance for the Tribeca All Access program?
The qualifying director or writer must be in attendance during the entirety of TAA, beginning April 26-29, 2011. If a screenplay does not have a director attached, the screenwriter must be in attendance for the entirety of the program. Producers and other team members are welcomed and encouraged to join during the meetings and other TAA scheduled events when noted. However, the total per project team should not exceed four.
I live outside of New York City. If I am accepted into the program, will Tribeca All Access cover my travel and accommodation?

Note: The stipend may or may not cover the entire cost incurred for travel & accommadations during the duration of the program. Participants who receive a travel stipend will be responsible to arrange his/her own travel details and cover any additional cost outside of what the stipend covers. Participants are required to be in attendance during the TAA program April 26-29, 2011 but are welcomed to attend during the duration of the rest of the Tribeca Film Festival.

All primary participants are accredited as a filmmaker at the festival and will be able to accredit up to two additional team members.
I have two (or more) projects that I’d like to submit. Can I apply with more than one project?
Yes. However, separate applications must be filled out for each project.
Can I apply to other TFI programs, such as Tribeca All Access?
Yes! If your project meets the criteria for another TFI program, you are welcome to apply for it by filling out a separate application specific to that program.
I’ve noticed that if I get selected I will receive a grant of $10,000 is this new for the program?
After 8 years of success we wanted to take the program one step further by being able to offer a grant of $10,000 to each program. We hope this would maximize our direct impact of supporting the filmmakers we support.
Are there any stipulation on how I spend the grant if selected?
Participants may use the funding towards any stage of their project including pre-production, production, post production, and/or marketing. Participants will work with the TAA staff to work out the best plan on how to spend the funds. TAA reserves the right to withhold portions of the funding if during a required update/review of the project certain goals and guidelines previous set are not satisfied.
Is there a reason why the program is accepting less filmmakers than it has in the previous year?
Every year we evaluate the TAA program to make sure we stay influential in the field and create the best opportunities for the filmmakers we support, In an effort for our support to have the largest impact, we decided to focus on a more concentrated selection of projects. This will also allow us the room to increase our year round support for the program alumni who are working on new projects or need further assistance on their past TAA project.
