Our City, My Story RULES AND REGULATIONS
GENERAL
The mission of Tribeca Film Institute’s Our City, My Story (OCMS) Program is to create a platform for young filmmakers from New York City to showcase their work. Submission of a film constitutes acceptance of these Entry Rules & Regulations, please review carefully.

April 2011—Work screened during Tribeca Film Festival
ENTRY FEES
Submissions are free of charge.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for consideration:
- Entrants must fully comply with these Entry Rules & Regulations, including deadlines and entry material requirements and selected film requirements
- Non-English language works must have English subtitles at the time of submitted.
- Films must be less than 15 minutes in length.
- Filmmakers must be younger than 19 years of age, attending an NYC school, and residing within the five boroughs of New York City at the time the film was completed.
- Youth filmmakers must play major creative roles on the production of the submitted works—as directors, writers, and/or editors. Any works reflecting more than 50% of creative control by filmmakers over the age of 19 will be ineligible (with preference given to films that are overwhelmingly youth made).
HOW TO ENTER
Complete online Entry Form and mail all required entry materials (see below).
ENTRY MATERIALS
All entries must include the following:
- An online “Our City, My Story Entry Form” properly completed.
- DVD copy of the work formatted for multi-zone or Zone 1 (North America) and labeled with title, running time, name of filmmaker and/or school organization, and name of primary contact and contact information. Entries will not be accepted in any other format. Entry materials will not be returned.
Multiple Entries
Each entered film must be submitted on its own DVD and accompanied by its own completed “Our City, My Story Entry Form”; please do not send a compilation DVD composed of work for separate entries.
IF YOUR WORK IS SELECTED
If your work is selected, you must fulfill the following requirements by the date(s) designated by Tribeca Film Institute
- You must execute release agreements wherein you (i) accept responsibility for obtaining any and all clearances necessary to exhibit your film during OCMS11 (ii) warrant that you have the rights necessary to exhibit your film during OCMS11 and (iii) indemnify and hold harmless Tribeca Film Institute and its affiliates against any claim arising our of exhibition of your film at OCMS11.
- You must deliver to the address(es) designated by Tribeca Film Institute (i) one HDV master copy of the invited work.
